Project Overview

Ziklag capital approached me for a design of professional website, clean styled that can match their competitors within the financial sector space worldwide. They were poised to create value for its diverse clientele base by ensuring low risk and regular guaranteed returns on their investment within agreed parameters. The key words we picked from our several meetings were value creation for clients, investors satisfaction, building trustworthy profile.

Problem

The client wanted to create a website that would ensure trust in the client who is committing money into investment and assure them of receiving their returns. The client wanted to also ensure low risk and regular guaranteed returns on their investment within agreed parameters for the customers. The client was seeking to increase value creation for clients and investors satisfaction.

Design Process

User research

I setup a team of 3 people and we conducted stakeholder interviews and developed the right research questions before choosing our research method after which we created a user research plan. We adopted the following research approaches.

- in-depth user interviews
- Focus groups
- Card sorting
- Usability testing

The UX research plan we drafted was executed and we ensured it covered certain benefits like fostering alignment, engaging stakeholders and ensuring UX goals were achieved.

Ideation Sketches

After a detailed user research sketches were conceived and the initial designs were revisited after usability testing was performed and we arrived at the sketches below.

Wireframing

I did the wireframe for the homepage for the desktop and the mobile version.

Prototype

Testing

Testing was performed and a few modifications were carried out. We performed analysis that provided us with actual data that was used to finalize the prototype.

Lessons Learnt

At the needs requirement gathering phase the client informed us that they wanted a mobile app as well as a website, we had a mockup of the desktop website and the mobile app carried out however, the client was not interested in developing a mobile app at the stage.
